Wow, time lags to a snail's pace when you are not having fun!  Three months on a picket line in the cold with video cameras pointed at you twenty-four/seven... and other stuff I don't even want to get into.  This has been an experience I do not want to repeat.  Forunately, everything is back on track and I can now get back to the fun things in life.  That being said I am very happy to announce the "Nightlife" Giveaway is back!  I know "Madhouse" has hit store shelves and my original intention had been to run the giveaway only until the third book was available.  The fact remains, I've given away a lot of copies and the response has been outstanding!  So I am most definitely... and happily... extending the giveaway indefinitely.  So spread the word gang.  Let's make sure everyone has a chance to read these awesome books!

I'm sorry I haven't updated the site in a while but life has been extremely mixed up.   Unfortunately I am in the midst of a long and drawn out strike.  Today is actually day 75 of the strike.  I'm sorry to say, at this point in time, I am no longer able to give away anymore books.  I hope to start shipping out more copies of Rob Thurman's books, as soon as I start recieving a paycheck again.  It has been a pleasure answering your questions and helping so many of you find a new book series to enjoy.  Thank you for everyone who has passed this way and dropped me a line or two.  Take care.

Hi.  This is just a short note to apologize for the lack of updates.  I am currently in the midst of strike negotiations at work.  Unfortunately, I am smack in the middle trying to get people to negotiate and being forced to choose whether to cross the line, stand on the line, or throw my hands up and look for a new job.  The other hospitals in the area are saying that they won't hire us because they don't want to get involved...  but I've driven fifty miles to work before I can do it again...  just don't want to do it...  (I mean working 13-16 hours and then driving an hour home just about destroys you).

Just so you know... I am planning on continuing the Give-away without interruption. For your information, our latest winners have included Laura from Ohio and Kathy from New York.  Congratulations gals!  So please feel free to continue entering.  And let me take this opportunity to clarify that I do not want any personal information from you.  Just send an email requesting to enter the Give-away.  If your entry is randomly chosen I will then contact you for an address.  Thanks.

If anything screwy happens with the site still feel free to contact me.  I just can't promise when I will be able to fix the error.

Should circumstances continue to deteriorate and I am involved in a lock-down I will have someone post the information on this homepage.

Thank you for your understanding.  I hope things will be resolved soon.  Take care.

Hello!

Welcome to a brand new site dedicated to the books and characters created by Rob Thurman.  I'm not sure how many fan sites her (Rob is short for Robyn) series has inspired to date but I guarantee this won't be the last one.  She has created a world with characters so vivid and mysterious I guarantee you will be a raving fan by page three of "Nightlife."  In fact, I'm so convinced of the quality of Miss Thurman's first novel I'm going to give-away a copy of "Nightlife" every week until "Madhouse" (the third novel in the series) hits store shelves.  Yep, you read that right!  "Nightlife" absolutely free of charge because I think "everyone should be reading these books"!

You will have to forgive me for the occasional lengthy post here on the front page.  I have a desperate fear of writing.  Seriously, it takes me hours to write a simple email to someone.  As a matter of fact, I have been staring at this blank web page for three hours now.  You would think this would mean my posts would be microscopic.  No, that would make sense and be normal.  I am anything but normal.  Nope.  It means when I finally get the courage to write up the information I need to post I end up typing every thought in my strange and random tiny mind.  Sorry.  It's a curse.

Why create a fan site for a brilliant author when you yourself suffer from a deep seated writing phobia?  I guess the reasons would be two-fold or maybe they are three-fold.  *shrugs*  The important thing is they aren't one-fold.  (Is that even a word?)  You should never expend time or energy on anything if you can only think of one reason to do it.  After all being lazy is a God given right and privilege.  Think about it, all the essential functions required of the human body to maintain life are automatic.  It's just the fun stuff that requires a little work on our part.  Okay food and sex are both essential to life (ask a puck if you don't believe me) and both require a little work.  However, I think we can all agree they're both a hell of a lot of fun!  Especially if they're combined!  (Again, ask a puck if you have any questions I'm sure they'd be more than happy to elaborate on the subject.)

Oops!  You see, strange rambling.  I can't be stopped.  My apologies.

As I was saying...  (I think.)  ...I created this web site because I fell instantly in love with Cal, Niko, and Robin!  Instantaneous, mind-blowing, *LOVE*!  Love was quickly joined by obsession - not a weird stalker-type obsession - just a pure where-can-I-find-more fun sort of addicted-to-life kind of obsession.  This lead me to explore the internet where I soon discovered pickings were slim but of high quality, including the author's LiveJournal page.  Turns out not only is Miss Thurman a wickedly keen author, she's freakin' hilarious and she displays a genuine interest in her fans.  Seriously this starving writer deserves support and my obsessive love for Caliban and gang demands an outlet!
So... FAN SITE!

I've just started organizing and throwing stuff up so not all of the links work, yet.  Ideas or suggestions for the site are greatly appreciated.  Please feel free to let me know if you have fanfics or fanart you'd like to archived here.  Please feel free to come back and look around often.

If you're already a fan of "Nightlife" and "Moonshine" isn't it a freakin' wonderful roller coaster ride!

If you haven't read the books I hope this site can convince you to give them a read.  You won't be disappointed!

this site is dedicated to the wonderful author who's creative genius brought to life
three of the most interesting characters i've ever had the pleasure of reading.
and with love and affection to faye and sendintheclowns, who pestered and threatened me
until i picked up a copy of "nightlife". i am forever grateful to have friends
willing to kick my butt for my own good.
